I don't think so either. I remember a kid asked our priest if he could sing ere epsolsel in the weekday lent tune and abouna said you will never say that because there is no vespers during lent except for sundays.

Wasn't the fast originally split up into 2 fasts? 47 days (40 for Christ fasting for us and one week prep) and then they would fast again for 8 days starting Lazarus saturday. But i think this was in the really early church.
