slow down, i'm trying to catch up!
it's official, i am younger than father peter ;)
ilovesaintmark, i heard you were about the same age, is that right?
we will pray for you lots and probably have some kind of party online, plus see who can write t…
i read the original post, so the answers do make sense.
sudani, i pray for you, you need to pray for people also and study the Bible and listen well in church as some of the answers you need may be just around the corner.
also the devil makes work for idle hands.
so work in the church, fix the garden for old ladies, clean the house for your parents etc. etc.
when you arrive home tired and just eat, pray and sleep, you don't have time for so many bad thoughts.
we are making progress.
keep working, keep praying and visit churches from the other group and talk to people there after and bring greetings from your church.
if everyone visited one church from the other group every year or two, it would make a hu…
i wasn't in a church that used proper Communion wine in those days... ;)
God has shown me the way since :)
i was going to reply to your thread separately, but i think/hope this may help here.
to continue...
1. (you guessed this one) sort out your relationship with God. ask all the difficult questions (does God exist? why can't i drink my brains out and party 24 hours a day? why is it useful to go to church?) and don't rest until you real…
i didn't see this thread till today, have been so busy/tired with work i didn't keep up my main hobby (this site!).
looking back, i remember i felt very nearly the same in my 1st year at university.

communication is a bit hit and miss, i've found.
please keep us posted (times, dates) with anything u hear about these kind of events, this forum is one of many good ways to communicate about these things.
the more we get closer to God (Bible study, prayer, talking about God with friends, Holy Communion), the more we instinctively know what is right.
the more we care for others and look after people, respect our family/church and not be selfish, the m…
yeah, like in rich countries today it is correct to say that people live to be 85.
but that doesn't mean no-one can live to 95 or 100, just that it is normal to live to 85 or less.
i am planning to live till tomorrow, at least ;)
there are lots and lots of people who changed religion and got married, from many countries.
like i have a friend from a Christian family who married someone who converted from buddhism to Christianity.
also some people gave them some trouble (there…
if there was a one day thing at the weekend, i would be interested.
august is usually an unstable, unpredictable, busy time for me, and it's usually crazy busy at work.
maybe several days spread out would be easier for people, so some would do begin…
someone i know well had a big problem with his girlfriend's mum. she was very possessive of her daughter and quite difficult. the 2 young people were so in love they decided to marry but the mum forbade it.
they decided to be good and wait.
after 2 …
some people have strange ideas.
what you actually need to do to prepare for the end is to love God, care for the poor,
study the Bible, pray a lot, take Holy Communion, and love the people around you.
you should also pray for your enemies and love t…
whoah!
hang on in there.
we are praying for you.
i am in the wrong time zone to stay on line for long, but you are in my prayers.
we value your contributions to this forum and would love you to stick around.
but your friends love you looooots more t…
the end of the world is not yet, but there are people who lie and say they know when it is.
don't listen to them and flee to the forrest!
but if you are somewhere where it is not safe to be a Christian, sometimes you need to flee, that is different…
from reading father peter's earlier posts, we can do a waist bow when the altar server says 'worship God in fear and trembling' and we are still allowed to touch the ground and then the bishop's hand.
but no sagda/metania/bowing with forehead on the…
